I have been asked to include better pictures when I post items about style, but have been challenged by the fact that I have no initiative when it comes to technology. But now I am happy to announce that my photos should be improving. Here’s why:
Okay, the shirt from which I cut the sleeves (nice use of correct grammar, right?) both works and doesn’t work, in my opinion.
Yesterday I had a plan: I would wear my new turquoise Converse kicks with cropped jeans and a favorite Free People oversized shirt — it’s a sort of pink-y blue corduroy, with a soft flounciness that I love. Hadn’t worn it in awhile. And I’ve shared my thoughts about weight gain right? (No, haven’t lost it yet.) So I put on my sneaks and jeans (not in that order) and a soft T-shirt and then I went to put on the Free People shirt and… I. Couldn’t. Get. It. On.
Spent a whirlwind three days in Phoenix with family that included two emotional breakdowns (Lizzie, me), three shopping trips (Mom, my brother, my sister in law, my kids, and me, all in various combinations), hundreds of birds, baby quail, and jackalopes (aka Jack-o-lanterns, aka jack rabbits) and several spilled beers (mark, me).
I tried out the orange necklace last week and I love it. In fact, I got several compliments and I felt good wearing it. It perked me up, being that it’s bright orange and sort of funky. Plus I found that I had an orange belt that exactly matched it… TOTES exciting, right? I forgot that I meant to post some pics of shoes that might help spice up a summer wardrobe. Not that any of YOUR summer wardrobes need spicing, but mine do.
Anyway, my sister/bestie sent me a picture of her “sassy” pink shoes, which she got ten years ago (or so). Now that she (finally) has a job again, she has to get out of her crossfit exercise clothes and dress like a grownup again, and I can tell she’s doing a good job just from this picture of her lower half. And look at those legs! Sheesh…
